2015 Convention of the Douglas County Republicans

Thank you to all the delegates and guests that attended the 2015 Convention of the Douglas County Republicans.  The election of officers was held.  The following people were elected (these are two year terms):

Chair – Jim Nelson; Deputy-Chair – Dan Haglin; Secretary – Mark Anthony; Tim Philbrick – Treasurer; Vice-Chairwomen – Jeanne Batesole, Linda Kloubec, and Sherry Sievert; Vice-Chairmen – George Cassell, Mark Hintermeyer, and Kevin Schutz; State Central Delegates – Sen. Bill Ingebrigtsen, and Jim Nelson; State Central Alternates – Rep. Mary Franson, Shelly Nelson, Eric Marquardt, Kevin Schutz, Mark Hintermeyer, and Kim Hilback

The next meeting of the Douglas County Republicans is Monday, March 2nd, at 6:30pm, at the Broadway ballroom, 115 · 30th Ave E, in Alexandria.  Upcoming events are State Central meeting April 11th and the 7th Congressional District convention April 17th and 18th in Redwood Falls.

Annual Convention of the Douglas County Republicans

There will be no regular monthly meeting on February 3rd.  Instead, the annual convention of the Douglas County Republicans will be held February 21st at 7:00pm at the Alexandria Senior Center, 414 Hawthorne Street in Alexandria.  Registration will begin at 6:30.  There will be a $3 charge to help cover expenses of the convention.  Our BPOU (Basic Political Organizational Unit) officers will be elected for two-year terms. Thank you to all of you for allowing me to serve you as chairman for the past 10 years!  It has been a privilege! Dan Haglin

January meeting of the Douglas County Republicans

Happy New Year!  The next meeting of the Douglas County Republicans is Tuesday, January 6th, at 6:30pm, at the Broadway ballroom, 115 · 30th Ave E, in Alexandria.  The main item on the agenda is our upcoming County Convention, which will take place between January 15th and February 24th.  This is the year we elect our county party leadership, which consists of the chair, deputy-chair, secretary, treasurer, deputy treasurer (deputy-chair and deputy-treasurer are the same person), three vice-chairmen, three vice-chairwomen.  These are two-year terms.
