Rep. Mary Franson (08B) – Legislative Update

Dear Neighbors,

You are invited to attend a town hall meeting, this Wednesday, regarding well and irrigation permitting. The meeting—free and open to the public—is set to take place in the large community room on the second floor of the Glenwood State Bank building in Alexandria. A number of local legislators as well as officials from the DNR are expected to be in attendance.

This town hall is a great opportunity for constituents to engage in dialogue with the DNR and lawmakers as we look for ways to make irrigation and well permitting policy more efficient and workable for area farmers. I strongly encourage anyone who may have questions or concerns to attend this town hall.

Also scheduled to attend is House Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Committee chair, Rep. Denny McNamara (R- Hastings).

The town hall is free and open to the public. Full details are below:
